The MSBA is offering an all virtual Advanced Mediation Training: Mediator Ethics and Choices that Impact Neutrality on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 from 8:45 am to 1pm!

This training will meet 3 objectives:

  1. Identifying 3 aspects of neutrality important to consider in the practice of mediation (process, content, and relationship);
  2. Reviewing the importance of self-awareness and awareness of personal values in avoiding bias in the role of mediator; and,
  3. Helping mediators become more cognizant of mediator behaviors that convey a sense of neutrality.

This experiential training will comply with the continuing education requirements for Maryland circuit court mediators. Together, trainers Ellen Kandell and Barbara Williams have over 45 years of legal experience as practicing attorneys, mediators, trainers and professors.
