The MSBA is offering an all virtual Advanced Mediation Training: Mediator Ethics and Choices that Impact Neutrality on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 from 8:45 am to 1 p.m.

This training will meet 3 objectives:

  1. Identifying 3 aspects of neutrality important to consider in the practice of mediation (process, content, and relationship);
  2. Help mediators develop self awareness of personal values to try and avoid bias in practice; and,
  3. Help mediators become more cognizant of behaviors that convey a sense of neutrality throughout the mediation process.

This 4 hour experiential training will comply with the continuing education requirements for Maryland circuit court mediators, and the Maryland Program for Mediator Excellence (MPME). Together, trainers Ellen Kandell and Barbara Williams have over 45 years of legal experience as practicing attorneys, mediators, trainers and professors.
