In 2021, Clio, a legal technology company that provides cloud based software solutions for law firms, established The Legal Impact Award. The inaugural award aims to recognize a law firm that employs its resources to make a difference. Firms throughout the United States and Canada were considered for the honor, and the field was ultimately narrowed down to six finalists. The winner will be selected via a popular vote. One of the finalists for the Legal Impact Award is Maryland’s own Pinder Plotkin, a personal injury firm based in Baltimore.

Pinder Plotkin has long-standing roots in the community, and is dedicated to community service in the areas where their clients live and work. Jason Plotkin is not only the CEO and managing attorney of the firm, but also acts as the Chairman of the Baltimore Firefighters Community Advisory Council.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Pinder Plotkin launched a free will program for First Responders, as a way to thank them for their services. The free will program was then expanded to include a community service component that connects First Responders with their communities. The program helps first responders build relationships with their communities by highlighting the volunteer services they provide when their shifts are over, like mentoring at risk youth to show them the positive attributes of a life of public service and working to increase child literacy by launching free little libraries throughout the city of Baltimore.

Voting ends July 30th. You can vote for Pinder Plotkin to receive the Clio Legal Impact Award here
