Join the MSBA for a new livestream presentation of Bearing Witness to Our Clients’ Trauma: Doing Our Jobs AND Taking Care of Ourselves on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 12 p.m. 

One study concluded that 78% of lawyers suffer from compassion fatigue and another reported that 75% suffer from vicarious trauma. This program will use clips from the movie “Just Mercy”, and a moderated panel discussion to provide lawyers with an overview of the risks associated with practicing law. Insights on the role of self-care to mitigate risk factors, including the ethical considerations for prioritizing lawyer self-care, will be discussed by our panelists:
