Join the MSBA Family Law Section for its annual presentation of Family Practice Update, which will be virtual, on Tuesday, August 8th, 2023 at 9 a.m. 

The speakers will address the impact of recent legislation on the practice of family law, including no-fault divorce, spousal sexual assault and child abduction. They will also discuss the most recent appellate cases impacting family law, including alimony, marital property/monetary awards, dissipation, tracing, business valuation, bigamy/annulment and laches, child custody, de facto parenthood and legal parents’ consent, third-party custody and awarding custody to a parent who murdered the other parent, doctrine of parent-child immunity, contempt, post-nuptial agreements and “lump sum” penalty provisions, attorneys’ fees, appeals, as well as other issues.  This CLE is always highly informative, well-attended, and the materials alone are essential to any family law practitioner.
