MARK F. GABLER, ESQ., will head the new Eastern Shore office of Hyatt & Weber, P.A. As partner leading the the firm’s Easton office, Gabler brings 25 years of extensive litigation and appellate experience in various legal disciplines, and will focus on land use and zoning, environmental, construction, commercial and administrative law as well as contracts and torts. Developers, landowners and other clients in the real estate industry rely on his counsel to guide them in navigating complex local, state and federal regulations surrounding environmental, natural resources, land use and zoning issues. He regularly represents clients before the Court of Special Appeals and the Court of Appeals for the State of Maryland.

 

AMIRA KHAN, ESQ.,  has joined Pels Law, where she will focus her practice on divorce, custody, child support, spousal support, property and asset division, business valuations and protective orders. Khan is certified in collaborative law and can practice as a best interest attorney where she represents children in highly contentious child custody cases. After graduating from law school, she worked as a real estate attorney specializing in mortgage foreclosure by providing legal representation to mortgage lenders, servicers and banks. Khan returned to family law in 2015 to focus her practice on divorce and child custody issues.

 

JOSEPH P. WARD, ESQ., has been honored by The Arc Baltimore, which has named him Director Emeritus. The Director Emeritus honor is the equivalent to the Hall of Fame for Arc Baltimore Board of Director service. Conferred upon members after they conclude active Board service, the Director Emeritus recognition is not automatic, but rather is an individual and specific designation reserved for retiring members whose service has been substantial and longstanding. Ward is a principal at Miles & Stockbridge, where he represents businesses, business owners, and equity investors in a variety of corporate and securities matters.
