Over the past year, MSBA has connected with 25 candidates for public office in Maryland and provided non-partisan interviews and debates to our members and the public during both the Primary and General Election season. All candidates were invited to discuss their platform and vision for the future of Maryland. The diverse views and substantial participation from various political parties for the candidates for Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, and Comptroller offer voters and legal professionals an opportunity to learn candidate positions and make informed decisions. The candidate conversations also allow MSBA to maintain and strengthen positive relationships to all branches of government and to effectively advocate on behalf of the profession.

The interviews and recaps posted here are for the remaining General Election candidates for Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, and Comptroller who agreed to interviews with the MSBA. MSBA discussed issues of importance to our members, including legislative priorities, juvenile and criminal justice, economic development, access to justice, election reform, and more. We invite you to explore our candidate content in advance of the election.

The general election is scheduled for November 8. Early voting will run from October 27 through November 3. To learn more about voting in Maryland, click here.
