On the heels of a successful effort to defeat proposed legislation that would tax legal services, the MSBA has shifted its focus to a comprehensive response related to COVID-19.  While this occurs, we continue to address the business of the association which includes ongoing planning of the MSBA’s premier event, the Legal Summit & Annual Meeting.  As of today, the Legal Summit & Annual Meeting is moving forward as planned for June 10 – June 13, 2020 at the Clarion Fontainebleau Conference Center & Hotel in Ocean City, Maryland.  We are proud of the 80+ programs that will be offered at this year’s summit across various practice areas, and are excited to introduce 8 Learning Tracks, including Corporate Law, Litigation & Trial Skills, Legal Technology and more.  In addition, the Legal Summit & Annual Meeting will feature notable keynote speakers, including former Secretary of State, Madeleine Albright, and NPR Legal Correspondent, Nina Totenberg.  A closing panel celebrating the Centennial Anniversary of the 19th Amendment will also be featured.
