R. KELVIN ANTILL has been elected as partner of Rosenberg Martin Greenberg, LLP. Antill’s commercial real estate practice focuses on contract negotiations, financing, construction, leasing and entity structuring and organization.

ADAM D. BAKER has been elected as partner of Rosenberg Martin Greenberg, LLP. Baker’s practice includes representation before government and regulatory entities and counseling clients on issues related to land use and zoning matters, as well as other entitlement and permit processes.

JAMAR R. BROWN has been elected as partner of Rosenberg Martin Greenberg, LLP. Brown works in the firm’s litigation department, where he routinely advises and advocates for business and property owners, as well as investors, on high-stakes legal matters that directly affect their livelihood. Jamar was recently named to the 40 Under 40 Baltimore Business Journal list in 2020 as well as being honored as one of CLIA’s Inspiring Voices.

RAYMOND D. BURKE of Baker Donelson has earned certification as a mediator under Title 17 of the Maryland Rules, which allows him to serve as a court-designated mediator in all Maryland courts. As a certified mediator and experienced arbitrator, Burke works with clients to handle disputes through alternative dispute resolution (ADR) procedure. A shareholder in Baker Donelson’s Baltimore office, Burke concentrates his practice in construction and real estate development and is noted for numerous cases relating to condominium and other multi-use developments.

JOHN A. CARPENTER has been elected as partner of Rosenberg Martin Greenberg, LLP. Carpenter focuses on commercial real estate and finance transactions, representing national and state-chartered banks and other lenders in loan facilities, including originations, restructuring and workouts, secured by commercial and residential real estate as well as operating assets.

KATELYN E. HOLBROOK has joined JDKatz, P.C., in Bethesda, Md. and downtown Washington, D.C., as an associate in its estate planning and litigation practice groups. Holbrook counsels and advises clients on their estate planning needs and represents individuals and businesses in trust and estate litigation, employment matters and civil litigation. Prior to joining JDKatz, P.C., Holbrook served as a law clerk for Buchman Law Firm, LLP. She also was a certified student attorney at the Columbus Community Legal Services Veterans Advocacy and Estate Planning Clinic.

JEFFREY M. LICHTSTEIN has been elected as partner of Rosenberg Martin Greenberg, LLP. Lichtstein is a member of the litigation group focusing on commercial litigation, employment litigation, and white-collar criminal defense. He advises clients on issues including commercial disputes, real estate, business torts, intellectual property infringement, employment matters, and white collar and other criminal matters.

MILES & STOCKBRIDGE has been named Pro Bono Law Firm of the Year by FreeState Justice (FSJ), a statewide advocacy non-profit that seeks to improve the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer Marylanders. Miles & Stockbridge established a FSJ team in 2018 to perform name changes and legal gender identity changes for low-income LGBTQ clients on a pro bono basis.

FRANCES O’CONNELL TAYLOR has joined Miles & Stockbridge’s growing Immigration Practice Group. Taylor is a current member of the MSBA’s Immigration Section and served on the Section Council from 2010 to 2011. She also currently serves as a member of the MSBA Peer Review Committee.

TONY W. TORAIN, II has joined the Employment Litigation Practice at Polsinelli.
He will practice from the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. Torain, II regularly represents clients on strategic labor relations planning matters as well as regulations relating to the workplace. His experience spans from arbitrations, unfair labor practice proceedings, strikes, union election campaigns and collective bargaining negotiations, to employee separations and terminations, wage payment issues, compliance with federal and state regulations relating to the workplace and the management of unionized workforces.
