DAVID CONNELLY will be joining Balch & Bingham’s Washington, D.C. office as a partner in their Energy practice. An alumnus of the University of Baltimore School of Law and member of the Maryland State Bar Association, David has more than 20 years of experience advising electric utilities on legal and policy matters.
ASHLEY CULLINAN has been appointed to serve as Pro Bono Committee Office Chair for Baker Donelson. Ashley is an associate in the firm’s Baltimore office, where she represents clients in all areas of the construction industry. Before joining Baker Donelson, she was involved in the Pro Bono Board at Georgetown University Law Center, where some of her pro bono projects included research on death penalty due process reviews the development of policy recommendations to assist child welfare professionals, social workers, and judges in the assessment and placement of children in foster homes.
HANNAH ELLIS has joined the Estate Planning and Elder Law practice group at Davis, Agnor, Rapaport & Skalny, LLC. Her practice will focus primarily on the complexities involved in estate planning and administration. Hannah is a recent graduate of the University of Baltimore School of Law.
JANET FORERO was inducted into the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) at the group’s National Board Meeting on January 23, 
2021. ABOTA is an invitation-only national association of 7,600 experienced trial lawyers and judges dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the Seventh Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which guarantees the right to civil jury trials. Janet is a partner with the law firm Goodell DeVries. Her practice is concentrated on the representation of professionals in malpractice claims, including individual health care providers, hospitals, long-term care facilities, academic medical centers, mental health providers, and dentists.
MICHELLE N. LIPKOWITZ has been elected to Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr’s nine-member Executive Committee, effective January 21, 2021. Underscoring her many achievements as a motivated leader in the Baltimore community, Michelle serves as a member of the Maryland Attorney General’s COVID-19 Access to Justice Task Force to keep Marylanders housed, safe and secure. She has held various positions within the Maryland community, including chair of the State of Maryland Transportation Professional Services Selection Board and as a member of the Baltimore County Planning Board. At Saul Ewing, she also vice chairs the firm’s Litigation practice and is deeply involved with the firm’s Diversity & Inclusion efforts.
K. NICHOLE “NIKKI” NESBITT has been elected Managing Partner of Goodell DeVries, joining the limited but growing number of women who lead Baltimore-area law . She will transition into the role under the mentorship of Linda S. Woolf, who has led the firm since 2005. Nikki has practiced at Goodell DeVries for the entirety of her 20 years at the bar, moving through the ranks from summer associate to partner. She has served on the firm’s Executive Committee since 2017, chairs two additional internal firm committees, and mentors younger lawyers and other professionals within and outside of the firm
LISA M. PRYOR has joined Weinberg and Schwartz, LLC as an associate. Lisa is a 2013 graduate of the University of 
Maryland Law School, where she served as president of the Student Bar Association. Lisa comes to the firm with a wealth of family law experience having practiced primarily in the area of family law since her admittance to the bar.
MATTHEW SPEAKE has joined Davis, Agnor, Rapaport & Skalny, LLC, in the firm’s Business and Transactional practice group. Matt will serve as general counsel to business clients and will also be an integral part of the firm’s quickly growing M&A practice, where he will focus on assisting business owners with succession planning and exit strategies, and representing them throughout the acquisition or sale transaction.
