MSBA to Sponsor Legislative “Kickoff”

 

For the first time, the MSBA will partner with The Daily Record and The Marc Steiner Show to present The Annapolis Summit next month.

The Annapolis Summit is considered by many in the legislative community as the thematic ‘kickoff’ of the Maryland General Assembly session. The Opening Day event features 90-minutes with Governor Larry Hogan, and Presiding Officers Senate President Thomas V. Mike Miller, and House Speaker Michael Busch discussing the most prominent policy issues facing Maryland policymakers going into the new Session.

“Review of proposed legislation before the Maryland General Assembly by the MSBA Committee on Laws and Section Legislative Committees has long been an important member benefit,” says MSBA President Sara H. Arthur. The Summit, she adds, “will further enhance the MSBA’s presence in Annapolis.”

The event will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at 7:30 a.m. at the Governor Calvert House, 58 State Circle, Annapolis, MD 21401.
