MSBA was proud to take part in a momentous day for the state’s legal profession, as 181 newly minted attorneys were sworn in on June 19, 2018, at the Court of Appeals of Maryland in Annapolis.
Kush Patel of the MSBA Membership Committee joined MSBA staff members Kevin Cook and Angela Munro in welcoming everyone to the bar.
“Having been involved in the MSBA Young Lawyers Section during law school, I had the pleasure of developing relationships with recently barred attorneys whom became mentors,” says Patel. “When asked, I was more than glad to help continue the tradition of welcoming new attorneys into the bar association.”
June 2018 new admittee Christian Kim appreciated Patel’s presence. “As a first-generation lawyer, it was wonderful to see an upperclassman congratulate me post-swearing in ceremony,” said Kim.
