The MSBA Leadership Academy 2017-2018 Class of Fellows concluded their year by presenting their public service project, entitled “Being Smarter with Your Smartphone: Understanding Cyberbullying & Its Impact“, to a distinguished audience that included Chief Judge Mary Ellen Barbera, Court of Appeals of Maryland, District Court Chief Judge John P. Morrissey, and incoming MSBA President Judge Keith R. Truffer.

The 12-month program designed to assist lawyers in becoming better leaders and offering opportunities for future leadership roles in the MSBA through mentorship and public service. This year’s 15 Fellows fulfilled their public service requirements by developing a program designed raise awareness of cyberbullying and its consequences among high school students around the state.

Following the presentation, Leadership Academy Co-Chairs Jessica Quincosa and Judge Dana Middleton awarded certificates of completion of the program.

Leadership Academy alumni include, many among others, MSBA Past President Debra G. Schubert and current Secretary Deborah L. Potter.
