MSBA and its partner A2JC have been working to ensure that the concerns of self-represented Marylanders and civil aid organizations are addressed by our leaders. Today (4/3) Governor Hogan issued an Executive Order protecting renters and homeowners against evictions, repossessions and foreclosures during the COVID-19 outbreak. The Order would prohibit mortgage lenders from initiating foreclosures and permit flexibility to borrowers. Commercial and industrial evictions are not permitted, and mobile homes may not be repossessed. All executive state agencies will suspend debt collection. Please click below to view the order:
