Kathleen Dumais closed out 2018 on a very high note. After being re-elected to serve her fifth term in the Maryland House of Delegates, where she represents District 15, Montgomery County, Speaker Michael Busch appointed her Majority Leader for the chamber.

Dumais, who practices family law with the firm of Ethridge, Quinn, Kemp, McAuliffe, Rowan and Hartinger in Rockville, is grateful for “the support, encouragement, and patience of my family, friends, and law firm that allow me to serve as a member of the Maryland General Assembly,” she says. “Balancing my practice and personal life with my legislative responsibilities would not be possible without them!”

In the meantime, Dumais is looking forward to the upcoming legislative session, which begins on Wednesday, January 9. “The first session of a four-year term is always exciting and challenging as we welcome the eager, newly elected members,” she notes.
