Mock Trials are occurring in virtually every county in the state of Maryland and MYLaw, in partnership with MSBA, needs your help and support. The 2023-24 academic year marks MYLaw’s 41st annual Statewide High School Mock Trial Competition –one hundred and forty one Maryland schools are in it to win it. From the mountains of Western Maryland to the beaches of the eastern shore, hundreds of Maryland high school students are acting as witnesses and attorneys in the civil case of Parker Harper v. Dakota Reese.

Nearly 2,000 Maryland students are competing in local trials, and we need your help! By the end of the competition, more than 400 trials will take place and MYLaw is dependent on attorneys and judges to preside over and score the competitions. Most matches take place in courthouses during the late afternoon and in most counties throughout the state. Just a couple hours of time are all it takes. If you are interested, please contact MYLaw.

You can also support Mock Trial and the youth who participate by donating to the 2024 Mock Trial Campaign. Your name or your firm’s name will appear on our sponsor list and in our digital case book in perpetuity. Please consider supporting MYLaw Mock Trial through your time or a financial contribution – or both. Hundreds of youth right here in Maryland will benefit from your generosity.

Mock Trial is just one of MYLaw’s programs, which has been in existence since 1978. Want to learn more? Just visit www.mylaw.org.
