The University of Baltimore School of Law’s Fannie Angelos Program for Academic Excellence is the result of a unique collaboration between UB Law and Maryland’s four Historically Black Colleges and Universities – Morgan State, Coppin State, Bowie State, and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Named for the late UB Law alumnus Fannie Angelos, the program helps prepare top undergraduate students both to enter law school and to excel once they are admitted.
MSBA Past President Judge Pamila J. Brown joined scores of lawyers, judges, law professors and program alumni for the program’s 5th Annual Gala – its signature event – on November 8, 2018, at the Belvedere Hotel in Baltimore. Professors Michael Higginbotham and Michael Myerson joined attendees in honoring the Hon. Elizabeth Morris with the program’s Voice of Justice Award, while Maya Dolby (2L, UB Law) offered a student’s perspective of the program, which since its inception has helped more than 100 students gain admission to law school.
