The theme for the next issue of the Maryland Bar Journal is the “Evolution of the Legal Profession.”  This theme was discussed by our Editorial Advisory Board prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, and now, it is even more timely given the implications of COVID-19.   We are actively recruiting articles for this issue from attorneys working in all practice areas and in various sectors of the legal profession.  If you are interested in submitting an article on how the legal profession has changed over the past few decades, years, or even months, please take a moment to submit your proposed topic through our new content submission portal.  The deadline to submit article ideas is Monday, June 15, 2020.

A MSBA staff member will contact you the week of June 15, 2020 if your topic has been selected with additional details; however, please plan on your article meeting the following specifications:

  • 500 – 2,500 words
  • Citations should be contained in footnotes (footnotes may be converted to endnotes during the editing process to accommodate layout in the final publication)
  • A 2-3 sentence bio of the author may be included, as well as a professional headshot.

Final articles for this issue will be due on July 10, 2020.
