Aging in Place: Medicaid Waiver & Other Community Programs

Description

Join the MSBA Elder Law and Disability Rights Section for a one-day virtual program, Aging in Place: Medicaid Waiver & Other Community Programs, on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at 9 a.m.

Round out your elder law knowledge by learning from seasoned Maryland attorneys and other experts about the programs to support aging in place, as well as the challenges to accessing these programs. This program starts with an overview of Maryland Medicaid coverage of long term care in a nursing home and of care provided at home or at an alternative setting. This course will then provide a deep dive into the nuts and bolts of the Home and Community-Based Options Waiver, including eligibility criteria and the enrollment process. We will also discuss other programs and resources for seniors across the state, considerations for advising clients on how to pay for care, and how (if at all) Medicare fits into the picture.

Scroll down to register for this livestream event on March 26th, 2024.

6.0 hours of CLE credit will be offered by the surrounding MCLE states. If you’re unable to attend the live virtual program in March, the entire event will be recorded and available to you to view later. You can pre-purchase the OnDemand HERE.
