Ethics, Civility & Professionalism Symposium

Description

Civility is a core element of attorney professionalism, and makes the practice more enjoyable for the attorney, more efficient for the client, and enables the justice system to operate more effectively. Join experienced faculty, including Bar Counsel Lydia Lawless, who will discuss the impact of implicit bias and more, to a transactional attorney answering the question “who’s my client” in multi-party deals, to common (and new) challenges faced by estate planning attorneys in their day to day practice. The day will close with a plenary session from attorney and improvisational talent Joey Novick, who will demonstrate how improv skills can help attorneys in trial, mediation and business transactions. Explore these important topics and how to optimize the experience of practicing law for all involved with a focus on civility and professionalism.
